I have been asked by one of our meconopsis lovers to try and help ID some mec's he has grown. (There are another 3 to ID in the species section).

Again, I don't have any more info than I mention here. Patrick will be able to answer any questions about the plants if you want to ask.

Blue Poppy. I think this flowers a few weeks ago. Having recently put the pictures on the website for M. "Jimmy Bayne" i personally wonder if this could be it. the picture has the undulating petal edges, slender (Ish) seed pod and a false whirl of leaves on the stem.

What do you all think?

Sorry Matt I dont see it as Jimmay Bayne at all.  Not like the ones I know anyway.  The flowers on Jimmy Bayne are more cupped and have more of a rounded petal edge even although it is a bit undulating. Lots more still to come from Pat so it will get identified then.

OK thanks Sharon, that very helpful as it rules JB out. I have tried to find out from Patrick what the source of the seed / plant was, but he hasn't come back to me yet.

The seeds came from the Exchange the year before last. I will try to find the paperwork to enable me to be more specific and the get back to you.

@patrick-hoy The seed lists are in the Archives in the membership area on the Web that you can now search.  The seed list for 2018 and 2019 are actually on the first page so may speed up your search for you.
